View guesthouse offers comfortable budget accomodation to Western
backpackers, trekkers and party goers in the Indian Himalaya. The
guest house is located among the apple orchards close to the village
of Old Manali - a favourite destination of Western travellers in
Himachal Pradesh during the summer heat in India. Manali is situated
at the Northern end of the Kulu Valley (also known as the Valley
of the Gods), a popular trekking region and also a jump off point
for treks in Ladakh, Zanskar, Lahaul, Spiti and Kinnaur. Popular
day walks and sight seeing destinations include the 3995 metre high
Rohtang pass, the hot springs at Vashisht, the ski resort of Solang
Valley, the famous Hadimba temple at Dunghri and the village of
Naggar, with it's wood and stone castle and the former home of the
painter Nicholas Roerich, now a gallery.
